Academic Outreach

Academic Outreach at the University of Utah offers various initiatives including the Osher Reentry Scholarship Program for non-traditional students, Adelante Club U Summer Camps and other Tuition Assistance Scholarships bringing youth from Salt Lake City's west side to attend Youth Education summer programs, and the Zions-ELI Scholarship Program for community residents to receive training in English for the workplace through the English Language Institute. In addition, Academic Outreach has recently received an award of $1,000,000 from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation to establish the Utah College Advising Corps which will allow 8 recent University of Utah graduates to work full-time in area high schools to advance the message of higher education.
